I. JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description Summary:

Procurement and Travel Services is responsible for the university’s procurement of goods and services. It accomplishes this by offering multiple methods of purchasing items via the iBuy+ system, Oracle requisitions, or use of a P-Card.
This position works closely with all schools and divisions, suppliers and others as needed to accomplish tasks.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for business intelligence reporting and analysis tasks on a variety of software in use by the Procurement and Travel Services office.
Maintain and create new dashboards that reflect metrics tied to a variety of programs within the procurement and Travel Services Office.
Perform data validation checks on the P-Card program tied to spend to safeguard against fraud, waste and abuse thru the use of IDEA software. Assist in the annual reporting needs of Finance divisions tied to payments, tax and other related information found within procurement systems.
Partner with other departments on maintaining, enhancing and testing software systems used by Procurement and Travel Services.
Manage, maintain, develop, and implement additions/changes pertaining to but not limited to the Procurement and Travel Services website and the iBuy+ website in Drupal. Proactively identify user needs and develop solutions. Perform Site Improve checks to ensure optimum website functionality.
Create Ad-hoc reports at the request of the Comptroller and Executive Director of Procurement and Travel Services in response to university needs.
Serve as system admin for JPMorgan PaymentNet4 for mapping creation, reporting and data loads.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years’ experience as a Technical Analyst/Client Partner with numerous software packages including but not limited to system software and application software. Demonstrated ability to diagnose/troubleshoot issues by applying technical expertise, product knowledge, communication and problem solving skills.
- Extensive interaction with clients’ technical group pertaining to software needs, software problems/errors, beta testing etc.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle R12 Financials
- Extensive knowledge in Concur software,
- Experience with website publishing tools such as Drupal web development and content management.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau and IBM Cognos.
- Experience with PaymentNet4 software
- Ability to develop reporting tools/queries to perform data validation and audit checks using data analytics software such as IDEA from Caseware Analytics
- Ability to meet deadlines, keep commitments, take responsibility & demonstrate initiative.
Ability to multitask and operate beyond the standard scope of responsibility, demonstrate independent judgment.
