Job Description Summary:

The Office of the Registrar is dedicated to providing the best possible service to all members of the GW community. The office maintains academic records from enrollment through graduation and offers a wide range of services in the areas of classroom scheduling, enrollment verification, registration, requirements tracking, transcripts, and degree conferral. We support the university’s mission to promote lifelong learning by administering the various academic policies of the university and providing support to students, faculty, administrators, and alumni.

The Office of the Registrar is searching for a full-time Systems Administrator, Enrollment Management System, responsible for all aspects of the Event Management System (EMS) software, as well as onboarding additional offices and spaces into the tool. The Systems Administrator reports to the Director of Academic Scheduling, but is expected to work independently to ensure quality and success of the EMS.

Primary responsibilities include: Builds and updates spaces within the tool, determines and approves access for EMS users, manages web request forms for all entities desiring to use the EMS, and develops and delivers training to new users. Works directly with vendor to configure the tool.

Secondary responsibilities include: Performs the duties of an Academic Scheduler, working with faculty and academic departments to schedule make-up classes, review sessions, and other events in General Purpose Classrooms, scheduling meetings and events in classroom space. Assists with the scheduling of classes for future terms, and the assignment of classrooms meeting faculty needs.

Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications:

Advanced knowledge of software design and programming.

Previous experience with database management, training and development.

Strong analytical, problem solving and detail-oriented skills.

Previous experience with comprehensive computerized student information system, preferably Banner.
