Position Description Summary:

The Department of Chemistry at the George Washington University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Chemistry beginning as early as Fall 2018 in Analytical Chemistry. The search, which is pending final budgetary approval, is open to all areas of analytical chemistry, including those with application to separations with particular focus on biomolecules or sensors for use in energy/environmental needs or homeland security and that complement the existing strengths of the department.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Candidates at the Associate Professor level are expected to demonstrate a substantial record of scholarly achievement and national reputation in the field of their specialty. The successful candidate is expected to advance the vision of the University and the Department as a leading global research University. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or Doctoral degree in Chemistry or a related field. Applicants must also possess active funding.
