I. DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

Job Description Summary:

GWU’s Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) provides leading edge programs in electrical and computer engineering as well as fostering leadership in a global information society with an advanced state of knowledge.

ECE Post-Doctoral Scientist reports to the Principal Investigator and works primarily in lab. The focus of the research centers around the High Performance Computing Architecture and Technologies

Duties for the position include:

Designs scalable, power-efficient, and reliable Network-on-Chips (NOCs) for multicore architectures. This includes architecture design, technology exploration, modeling and simulation, and physical implementation.

Develops multi-core and accelerator-rich architectures with a particular focus on the power-performance-reliability tradeoffs.

Writes proposals, reports, and publishes research results.

Performs other work-related duties as assigned; the omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Require’s a PhD in the field or in a related area.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:

PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

Experience in mainstream computer architecture including development and design of power-efficient and reliable NOCs for multi-core systems.
