Position Description Summary:

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent, non-profit clinical practice group affiliate with The George Washington University, is seeking an academic psychiatrist for a full-time faculty appointment. Rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) and track (tenure track, non-tenure track) will be commensurate with experience.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

In addition to developing an active research program and teaching, the successful candidate will be engaged in practicing psychotherapy with psychiatric patient populations, providing psychosocial care for medically-ill patients, and providing psychopharmacological treatment to diverse populations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry and license eligible in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment.

Advertised Salary: Salary commensurate with experience.
