Position Description Summary:

The George Washington Medical Faculty Associates, an independent, non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University, is seeking a full-time faculty member for the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery in the Department of Surgery. Appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (non-tenure track) commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include providing excellent patient care, teaching residents and medical students, and serving as the Medical Director of Surgical Critical Care and as Director of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship.

Minimum Qualifications:

Basic qualifications: Applicants must be board eligible or board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care, and eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia, at the time of appointment. Demonstrated excellence in research, as evidenced by scholarly publications or works in progress, and in clinical care and teaching, as evidenced by experience, fellowship training, and references, are required.

Advertised Salary: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
