Position Description Summary:

The George Washington Medical Faculty Associates, an independent, non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University, is seeking a full-time faculty member for the Division of Vascular Surgery in the Department of Surgery. Appointment will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (non-tenure track) commensurate with the applicant’s experience. Our vascular practice includes the full scope of open surgical and endovascular therapies for cerebrovascular, aortic, lower extremity, and venous disease as well as dialysis access. Our practice is centered in the Washington, DC metropolitan area which is a vibrant location with cultural, family and educational opportunities.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include performing open and endovascular procedures, teaching residents and medical students, and developing an active research program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be Board eligible or board certified in vascular surgery at the time of appointment. They should have demonstrated excellence in teaching as evidenced by teaching evaluations, in research as evidenced by scholarly publications or works in progress, and excellence in clinical care as evidenced by experience, fellowships, and references. Applicants must also be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland.
