Position Description Summary:

The Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Tropical Medicine (MITM) at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences seeks a new faculty member to establish a vibrant, extramurally funded, internationally recognized research program in the area of poverty-related infectious diseases.
This tenure-track/tenure eligible position will be filled at the assistant, associate, or full professor level based on experience.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have a doctoral (PhD, MD, DVM, or equivalent) degree in a relevant discipline such as immunology, microbiology, or parasitology) at the time of application; postdoctoral research experience; a strong publication record; evidence of potential to attract extramural funding; and a demonstrated interest in teaching graduate and health care students.
