Position Description Summary:

The Department of Classical and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations invites applicants for a renewable, full-time Special Service Faculty position as a Teaching Instructor of the Arabic Language, commencing as early as the fall 2017 semester, pending budgetary approval. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate is expected to teach the Arabic language (Modern Standard and dialects including Egyptian) at all levels of proficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

Native or near native fluency in Arabic and English; M.A. in teaching Arabic as a foreign language, linguistics or closely related field; demonstrated ability to teach Arabic at college level, including the Egyptian dialect and to use technology in language teaching.
